Bio
Bread was an American soft rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1969. The group, fronted by singer-songwriter David Gates, became known for their melodic ballads and lush harmonies that helped define the soft rock sound of the early 1970s. Their hits include "Make It with You," "If," and "Baby I'm-a Want You." Bread's music later became associated with the yacht rock genre, characterized by its smooth production and laid-back West Coast vibe.
