SUGA, born Min Yoon-gi on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, South Korea, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer best known as a member of the K-pop group BTS. He began his music career under the name Gloss before joining Big Hit Entertainment in 2013. Within BTS, he is recognized for his introspective lyrics and production work, often exploring themes of mental health, youth struggles, and social issues. SUGA has also released solo projects under the name Agust D, establishing himself as a prominent figure in both the K-pop and hip-hop scenes.
