Bio
Doris Day was an American singer and actress whose warm, clear voice made her one of the most popular female vocalists of the 1940s and 1950s. She began her career as a big-band singer with Les Brown and His Band of Renown, scoring her first major hit with "Sentimental Journey." Her recordings blended pop, jazz, and adult-standards styles, and she continued to release successful singles and albums well into the 1960s.
