Bio

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is a British symphony orchestra founded in 1946 by Sir Thomas Beecham. Based in London, it performs a wide repertoire from classical standards to film scores and contemporary works. The orchestra has recorded extensively for major labels and maintains a busy schedule of concerts at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Cadogan Hall. It has collaborated with leading conductors and soloists and regularly appears at the Proms. The RPO also undertakes education and outreach programmes across the UK.
