Bio
Horst Göbel is a German pianist, conductor, and composer born in 1934. He studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin and later became known for his interpretations of classical repertoire, particularly the works of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Göbel founded the CPE Bach Chamber Orchestra and has recorded extensively for labels such as Capriccio and Koch Schwann. His career spans decades of performances across Europe, with a focus on historically informed performance practice and lesser-known 18th-century composers. He has also served as a professor and mentor to younger musicians.
