Sami Yusuf is a British singer, songwriter, and composer born in Tehran in 1980. He is known for his work in qawwali, sholawat, and Sufi music, blending traditional Islamic musical forms with contemporary production. Yusuf gained international recognition in the mid-2000s and has released several albums that feature both original compositions and reinterpretations of classical devotional pieces.
