Bio
Silvio Rodríguez is a Cuban singer-songwriter and a central figure in the nueva trova movement. Born in 1946 in San Antonio de los Baños, he began performing in the late 1960s and quickly became known for his poetic, socially conscious lyrics set to acoustic guitar. His work blends elements of traditional Cuban trova with contemporary folk influences, establishing him as one of Latin America’s most influential musical voices.
