Bio
Alexandre Tharaud is a French classical pianist born in Paris in 1968. He studied at the Conservatoire de Paris and rose to prominence with his refined interpretations of French Baroque and contemporary repertoire. Tharaud has recorded extensively for Harmonia Mundi and Erato, releasing acclaimed albums such as "Le Poète du piano" and works by Rameau, Couperin, and Satie. He frequently collaborates with leading orchestras and appears at major festivals worldwide. Known for his poetic touch and intellectual programming, he also performs jazz-inflected pieces and has ventured into crossover projects with singers and actors.
