Bio

Muse is a British rock band formed in Teignmouth, Devon, in 1994 by Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard. The trio rose to prominence in the early 2000s with their blend of alternative rock, progressive elements and electronic textures, scoring breakthrough success with albums such as Origin of Symmetry and Absolution. Their sound is characterized by Bellamy’s operatic vocals, virtuosic piano and guitar work, and lyrics exploring dystopian and conspiratorial themes. Muse have released nine studio albums, earned multiple Grammy nominations and headlined major festivals worldwide. They continue to tour extensively and remain one of the UK’s most successful rock exports.
