Machine Head is an American heavy metal band formed in Oakland, California in 1991 by vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn. Emerging from the Bay Area thrash scene, they gained prominence with their 1994 debut Burn My Eyes and later evolved toward groove and modern metal. Key albums include The Blackening (2007) and Of Kingdom and Crown (2022). The band has maintained a stable core lineup around Flynn and has toured extensively with acts like Metallica and Slayer.
