Bio
Steve Perry is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the former lead vocalist of the rock band Journey. Born in Hanford, California, in 1949, he joined Journey in 1977 and helped shape the band's signature sound during their most commercially successful era. With Journey, Perry contributed to multi-platinum albums such as "Escape" and "Frontiers," co-writing and performing hits including "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms," and "Faithfully." His distinctive tenor voice and emotive delivery became central to the band's identity. After leaving Journey in the late 1990s, Perry pursued a solo career, releasing albums such as "Street Talk" and "For the Love of Strange Medicine." He has remained an influential figure in rock and adult-oriented rock (AOR) music.
