The Orchestre national de France is the flagship symphony orchestra of Radio France, based in Paris. Founded in 1934 as the Orchestre national de la Radiodiffusion française, it has performed under conductors including Désiré-Émile Inghelbrecht, Lorin Maazel, and Emmanuel Krivine. The ensemble records for Radio France and appears regularly at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique and major European festivals. Its repertoire spans the standard symphonic canon with emphasis on French composers and contemporary works. The orchestra maintains an extensive discography on labels such as Erato, Deutsche Grammophon, and Naïve.
