Bio
Hootie & the Blowfish formed in Columbia, South Carolina in 1989. The band consists of Darius Rucker on vocals, Mark Bryan and Dean Felber on guitar and bass, and Jim Sonefeld on drums. They achieved mainstream success in the mid-1990s with their debut album Cracked Rear View, which featured the hit singles "Hold My Hand," "Let Her Cry," and "Only Wanna Be with You." The album went multi-platinum and earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Their music blends rock, pop, and R&B influences, and they have continued to release albums and tour into the 2020s.
