Bio
Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002. Led by Alex Turner, the quartet became one of the first acts to achieve mainstream success through early social-media buzz with their 2006 debut Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. Their sound evolved from rapid garage-rock and post-punk into psychedelic, lounge and synth-driven styles across albums such as AM and Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. The band has won seven Brit Awards and a Mercury Prize, and continues to headline major festivals worldwide.
