Bio
Ralph Tresvant is an American singer, songwriter, and actor best known as the lead vocalist of the R&B group New Edition. Born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, in 1968, he rose to fame in the 1980s with New Edition's string of hits that helped define the new jack swing sound. After the group went on hiatus, Tresvant launched a solo career, releasing his self-titled debut album in 1990, which included the chart-topping single "Sensitivity." He has continued to perform and record both as a solo artist and with New Edition reunions, maintaining a presence in the quiet storm and contemporary R&B genres.
