Thievery Corporation is an American electronic music duo formed in Washington, D.C. in 1995 by Rob Garza and Eric Hilton. The group is known for blending downtempo, trip hop, acid jazz, and lounge styles, often incorporating global influences and live instrumentation. Since their debut album Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi in 1996, they have released numerous studio albums and collaborated with a wide range of vocalists and musicians. Their music has been featured in film soundtracks and television, and they continue to perform internationally.
