The RAH Band was a British studio project formed in 1977 by musician and producer Richard Anthony Hewson. Hewson, who had previously worked as an arranger for artists such as The Beatles, arranged and produced the project’s recordings, often performing most of the instruments himself. The RAH Band is best known for its 1977 instrumental hit “The Crunch,” which reached the UK Top 10 and showcased Hewson’s blend of funk, disco, and experimental production techniques. The project continued releasing music sporadically through the 1980s, maintaining a cult following for its distinctive sound and innovative studio approach.
