Gavin DeGraw is an American singer-songwriter and musician born on February 4, 1977, in South Fallsburg, New York. He gained recognition with his debut album Chariot (2003), which featured the hit single "I Don't Want to Be," later used as the theme for the television series One Tree Hill. DeGraw is known for his soulful voice and piano-driven pop-rock style, blending elements of R&B, soul, and contemporary pop.
