Bio
Simon & Garfunkel were an American folk-rock duo formed in New York City in the 1960s, consisting of singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel. They rose to prominence with their distinctive vocal harmonies and introspective songwriting, producing a string of hits that defined the folk-rock genre. Their music often explored themes of alienation, love, and social change, resonating deeply with audiences during a turbulent era. The duo's partnership was marked by both creative brilliance and personal tensions, leading to several breakups and reunions over the years. Despite their relatively short time together, Simon & Garfunkel left an indelible mark on popular music with timeless songs such as "The Sound of Silence," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "Mrs. Robinson."
