Bio
Marvin Santiago (1947–2004) was a Puerto Rican salsa singer and bandleader from San Juan. He rose to prominence in the 1970s with his powerful voice and energetic stage presence, becoming one of the leading figures of salsa dura. Santiago recorded numerous hits with orchestras such as Tommy Olivencia and his own band, and his work helped define the sound of Puerto Rican salsa during its golden era.
