MiMS (born Shawn Maurice Mims on March 22, 1981) is an American rapper from New York City. He first gained mainstream attention in 2006 with the single "This Is Why I'm Hot," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and became a defining track of mid-2000s hip-hop. His debut album Music Is My Savior followed in 2007, featuring additional singles such as "Like This" and "Move (If You Wanna)." MiMS has continued releasing independent projects and maintains an active presence in the hip-hop community.
