Bio
The Rapture is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1998. The group blends post-punk, dance-punk, and electronic elements, drawing from both indie and club scenes. Their debut album "Echoes" (2003) and follow-up "Pieces of the People We Love" (2006) established them as key figures in the early-2000s dance-punk movement, alongside acts like LCD Soundsystem and !!!. After a long hiatus, the band resumed sporadic activity in the late 2010s while maintaining a cult following for their energetic live shows and influential fusion of rock and dance music.
