Bio
Broken Bells is an indie rock duo formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by producer Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) and singer-songwriter James Mercer of The Shins. The pair first collaborated on the track "Insane" for Mercer’s band before deciding to create a full project together. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2010, featuring the hit single "The High Road." Subsequent releases include After the Disco (2014) and the Into the Blue EP (2022), all showcasing the duo’s blend of atmospheric production and melodic songwriting.
