C.C. Catch is a German pop singer born Caroline Catherine Müller on 31 July 1964 in Oss, Netherlands. She rose to prominence in the mid-1980s with a string of Eurodance and Hi-NRG hits produced by Dieter Bohlen, including “I Can Lose My Heart Tonight,” “Cause You Are Young,” and “Heaven and Hell.” Her albums “Catch the Catch” (1986) and “Big Fun” (1988) established her as a leading figure in European dance-pop. After parting ways with Bohlen in 1989, she continued releasing music under her own direction, exploring a slightly softer Europop sound on albums such as “Hear What I Say” (1989). C.C. Catch remains an enduring presence on 1980s nostalgia tours and compilations, celebrated for her distinctive voice and contribution to the Italo-disco and Eurodance scenes.
