Bio

The Horrors are an English rock band formed in Southend-on-Sea in 2005. Originally rooted in garage and psychedelic rock, the group later expanded into post-punk and shoegaze textures while retaining a dark, atmospheric edge. Fronted by singer Faris Badwan, the lineup also includes guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer Joe Spurgeon. Their debut album, Strange House (2007), showcased raw, reverb-heavy garage-punk, while subsequent releases such as Primary Colours (2009) and Skying (2011) brought in lush synths and shoegaze-inspired production. Over the years the band has maintained an evolving sound, releasing Luminous (2014) and V (2017), each exploring new textural and melodic territory while preserving their distinctive gothic-tinged aesthetic.
