Barry Gibb is an Australian singer, songwriter, and producer best known as the eldest member and frontman of the Bee Gees. Born in Douglas, Isle of Man, in 1946, he moved with his family to Australia as a child, where the Gibb brothers began performing and recording in the late 1950s. Gibb has written or co-written many of the Bee Gees’ most enduring hits, including “Stayin’ Alive,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” and “Night Fever,” helping define the disco era of the late 1970s. Beyond the Bee Gees, Gibb has maintained a successful solo career and has written and produced for numerous other artists. His distinctive falsetto and melodic songwriting have earned him multiple Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Bee Gees. Gibb continues to perform and record, remaining one of the most influential figures in popular music.
