Tony Wilson (born 8 October 1947) is a Trinidadian bassist and songwriter best known as a founding member of the British soul and funk band Hot Chocolate. He contributed to the group’s signature sound through his bass lines and songwriting, helping shape hits such as “You Sexy Thing” and “Every 1’s a Winner.” Wilson’s career spans several decades, during which he has remained an influential figure in the UK’s soul and pop music scenes.
