Sarah Brightman is an English soprano, actress, and dancer known for her work in classical crossover, musical theatre, and opera. Born in Berkhamsted, United Kingdom, she began her career as a member of the dance troupe Hot Gossip before transitioning to musical theatre, where she originated the role of Christine Daaé in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera. Her recordings span classical, pop, and world-music styles, and she has performed in multiple languages across international stages.
