Dierks Bentley is an American country music singer and songwriter born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1975. He moved to Nashville after college to pursue a career in music, initially working at The Nashville Network before signing with Capitol Records. His debut single "What Was I Thinkin'" reached number one on the Billboard country charts in 2003, launching a string of successful albums and singles. Bentley is known for blending traditional country sounds with rock and bluegrass influences. Over his career he has released multiple platinum-certified albums and earned several Grammy nominations. He continues to tour extensively and maintains an active presence in contemporary country music.
