Dave Koz

Bio

Dave Koz is an American saxophonist, composer, and radio host known for his work in contemporary jazz and smooth jazz. Born in Tarzana, California, in 1963, he began playing saxophone at age thirteen and later studied at UCLA before pursuing a professional career. Koz released his self-titled debut album in 1990 and has since issued more than a dozen studio recordings, several of which reached the top of Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. He is also recognized for hosting the syndicated radio program “The Dave Koz Radio Show” and for his annual cruises that feature live jazz performances.
