$uicideboy$ is an American hip-hop duo from New Orleans, Louisiana, formed in 2013 by cousins Ruby da Cherry (Aristos Petrou) and $crim (Scott Arceneaux Jr.). They emerged from the underground scene with a raw, lo-fi sound blending emo rap, horrorcore, cloud rap, and trap metal. Early releases on SoundCloud and their own G*59 Records label built a cult following before mainstream breakthrough. Their 2018 mixtape I Want to Die in New Orleans and 2022 album Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation marked major commercial milestones. The duo is known for dark, introspective lyrics addressing addiction, mental health, and Southern gothic themes, often produced by $crim. They have collaborated with artists including Travis Barker, Denzel Curry, and Ghostemane while maintaining independence through G*59.
