John Georgiadis

Bio

John Georgiadis is a British violinist, conductor and composer born in 1942. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and became a leading figure in British orchestral life, serving as leader of the London Symphony Orchestra from 1965 to 1975. He has performed as a soloist with major orchestras, conducted extensively, and recorded classical repertoire including works by Elgar and Vaughan Williams. Georgiadis has also composed film and television scores and maintains an active teaching and recital career.
