Bell Biv DeVoe is an American R&B trio formed in 1989 by Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe, all former members of New Edition. The group is best known for their 1990 debut album Poison, which popularized the new jack swing sound and spawned hits like "Poison" and "Do Me!." Their music blends hip-hop beats with R&B vocals, influencing the genre throughout the 1990s.
