Bio
Seong-Jin Cho is a South Korean classical pianist born in 1994 in Seoul. He first gained international attention after winning the XVII International Chopin Piano Competition in 2015. Cho studied at the Korea National University of Arts and later at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under Arie Vardi. He has performed with leading orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and New York Philharmonic. His recordings for Deutsche Grammophon include works by Chopin, Debussy, and Schubert. Cho is noted for his refined technique and poetic interpretations of Romantic repertoire.
