The Clark Sisters

Bio

The Clark Sisters are an American gospel group formed in Detroit in 1973. The sisters—Jacky, Denise, Elbernita "Twinkie," Karen, and Dorinda Clark-Cole—grew up singing in the Church of God in Christ under the direction of their mother, legendary gospel musician Mattie Moss Clark. Their early recordings blended traditional gospel with contemporary arrangements, helping to shape the modern gospel sound. Over five decades the group has released numerous albums and become one of the best-selling acts in gospel music. Signature songs such as "You Brought the Sunshine," "Blessed & Highly Favored," and "Name It Claim It" showcase their tight harmonies and energetic delivery. The Clark Sisters have influenced generations of gospel, R&B, and hip-hop artists while maintaining a ministry-centered career.
