Bio

Field Mob is an American southern hip hop duo formed in Albany, Georgia in 2000. The group consists of Shawn Johnson (Shawn Jay) and Darion Crawford (Smoke), who met while attending high school together. They gained recognition in the early 2000s with their distinctive country-influenced southern rap style. The duo released their debut album "613: Ashy to Classy" in 2000, followed by "From tha Roota to tha Toota" in 2002. They achieved mainstream success with their 2006 single "So What" featuring Ciara, which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Field Mob's music often incorporates themes of Southern life, rural upbringing, and social commentary delivered through humorous and gritty lyricism.
