Luciano (born Jepther McClymont, 20 October 1964) is a Jamaican roots-reggae singer from Manchester parish. Emerging in the early 1990s, he became known for his clear tenor voice and lyrics that blend Rastafarian spirituality with calls for social justice. His breakthrough albums, such as "Where There Is Life" (1995) and "Messenger" (1996), established him as one of the leading roots artists of his generation. Over a three-decade career he has collaborated with producers like Sly & Robbie and has maintained an active touring presence worldwide.
