Bio
Steven Osborne is a Scottish classical pianist born in 1971 in Scotland. He studied at the St. Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Osborne is known for his performances of works by composers such as Beethoven, Schubert, Debussy, and Messiaen. He has recorded extensively for Hyperion Records, including acclaimed albums of Rachmaninoff Preludes and a complete cycle of Beethoven Piano Sonatas. Osborne has received multiple awards, including the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Instrumentalist Award, and regularly performs with leading orchestras worldwide.
