Aaron Neville (born January 24, 1941) is an American singer from New Orleans, Louisiana, known for his distinctive falsetto and emotive delivery. He first gained national attention in 1966 with the ballad "Tell It Like It Is," which became a major R&B hit. Over the following decades he recorded both solo material and as a member of the Neville Brothers, blending classic soul, gospel, and New Orleans R&B. Neville has maintained a long career marked by collaborations with artists such as Linda Ronstadt, with whom he recorded the Grammy-winning duet "Don't Know Much." His voice has appeared on numerous film soundtracks and he continues to perform and record into the 21st century.
