Curtis Alan Jones, better known by his stage names Cajmere and Green Velvet, is an American house music producer and DJ from Chicago. He first gained recognition in the early 1990s with Cajmere’s club-oriented tracks such as “Brighter Days” and “Coffee,” which helped define the sound of Chicago house. Under the Green Velvet alias he became known for darker, more theatrical releases like “Flash” and the album Constant Chaos, blending house rhythms with distinctive vocal narratives. Jones continues to release music and perform internationally, maintaining a presence across both the house and techno scenes.
