Bio

Los Huracanes del Norte are a Mexican-American norteño ensemble formed in the early 1970s in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The group is known for its energetic brass-and-sax arrangements and for popularizing the norteño-sax style that blends traditional accordion-driven norteño with banda brass. Over five decades they have recorded dozens of albums, maintaining a large following throughout the U.S. Southwest and northern Mexico with their corridos, rancheras, and dance-oriented grupera material.
