Bio

Ken Boothe is a Jamaican singer and songwriter who rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s as one of the leading voices of rocksteady and reggae. Born in Denham Town, Kingston, he began recording as a teenager and achieved international success with hits such as "Everything I Own" and "Crying Over You." His smooth tenor and emotive delivery helped define the lovers rock subgenre while also embracing roots reggae and dub styles throughout his extensive career.
