Sherine Abdel-Wahab is an Egyptian singer and actress who rose to prominence after winning the talent show Star Maker in 2004. She is known for her emotive vocal style and has become one of the leading figures in Egyptian pop music, releasing numerous successful albums and singles across the Arab world. In addition to mainstream pop, she has recorded khaleeji tracks and religious nasheeds (sholawat).
