Lisa Hannigan is an Irish singer-songwriter born in Kilcloon, County Meath in 1981. She first gained recognition as a frequent collaborator and backing vocalist for Damien Rice before launching her solo career. Her debut album, Sea Sew (2008), earned critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination, establishing her distinctive voice and intimate songwriting style. Subsequent releases such as Passenger (2011) and At Swim (2016) further showcased her evolving artistry, blending folk, indie, and orchestral elements.
