John Mayer is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He rose to prominence in the early 2000s with his debut album Room for Squares and the hit single "Your Body Is a Wonderland." Mayer blends blues, pop, rock, and jazz influences, known for his virtuosic guitar playing and introspective songwriting. He has released seven studio albums, earned multiple Grammy Awards, and collaborated with artists including Eric Clapton, Frank Ocean, and Dead & Company, with whom he toured extensively. His work spans acoustic ballads to electric blues-rock, and he remains active as a solo artist and bandleader.
