Memphis Bleek is an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York, born on June 23, 1978. He rose to prominence in the late 1990s as a protégé of Jay-Z and a member of the Roc-A-Fella Records collective. Bleek released his debut album, "Coming of Age," in 1999, followed by "The Understanding" in 2000, both of which achieved commercial success. His music is characterized by its East Coast hip hop style, and he has collaborated with numerous artists within the Roc-A-Fella roster and beyond.
