Bio
Deftones formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. The band is known for blending heavy riffs with atmospheric textures and Chino Moreno’s distinctive vocals. Their sound has evolved from early nu-metal roots into a mix of alternative metal, shoegaze, and experimental rock. Albums like White Pony and Diamond Eyes are widely regarded as landmarks of the genre. Deftones have maintained a consistent lineup centered around Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, and Abe Cunningham, with bassist Sergio Vega joining in 2009.
