Bio
The Milk Carton Kids are an American indie folk duo formed in 2011 by singer-songwriters Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan. Their music blends close harmony singing with fingerstyle guitar, drawing on the traditions of American folk and Americana. The pair gained attention with their debut album Retrospect and their 2013 release The Ash & Clay, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album. They have since released several studio albums and are known for their minimalist live performances and thoughtful songwriting.
