Bio
Grouper is the solo project of Liz Harris, an American musician and visual artist born in Marin County, California. Since emerging in the mid-2000s, she has released a series of albums that blend ambient, drone, dream pop, and slowcore elements, often built around layered vocals, guitar, and field recordings. Her work is noted for its atmospheric textures and introspective mood, with releases such as Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill and the Ruins series establishing her as a key figure in contemporary experimental music.
