Dillinger, born Lester Bullock on 25 June 1953 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a reggae and dub artist who rose to prominence in the mid-1970s. He gained international recognition with his 1976 hit "Cocaine in My Brain," which became a staple of the genre and showcased his distinctive toasting style. Active during the golden age of Jamaican music, Dillinger recorded for influential producers such as Lee "Scratch" Perry and recorded numerous albums that blended roots reggae, dub, and early dancehall elements. His work remains a cornerstone of reggae history, celebrated for its lyrical wit and rhythmic innovation.
